Meet Stefanie
I’m Stefanie Newell, a writing coach, developmental editor, and author. For more than 17 years, I’ve helped hundreds of first-time authors write, publish, and market their books with more clarity, structure, and confidence.
My YouTube videos have reached more than 6.5 million views, helping aspiring authors better understand the book writing and publishing process. Over the years, I’ve also coached and supported writers, entrepreneurs, creatives, and public figures, including Hollywood film and television producer Madison Jones, Womeneur founder Sharon Beason, Grammy award-winning music producer S1, and hip hop artist, philanthropist, and politician Rhymefest.
Through coaching, developmental editing, books, templates, and training, my goal is to help aspiring authors stop guessing and start making clearer decisions about their books.
Who This Coaching Is For
This coaching is for first-time nonfiction authors who are at the beginning of the writing process and want clarity before they start. You may be a good fit if you:
• have an idea but are unsure how to shape it into a book
• want help clarifying your topic, audience, and structure
• are ready for guidance and accountability at the start

What should I expect from this call?
This is a coaching evaluation, not a teaching session. On this call, we’ll assess where you are in the writing process and determine whether coaching is the right fit. This call is not to answer writing, publishing, or marketing questions.
Will I be working directly with Stefanie?
Yes. If you move forward with coaching or developmental editing, you’ll be working directly with me, Stefanie Newell.
Do I need to have a completed manuscript?
No. Coaching is designed for first-time nonfiction authors who are still developing the idea, outline, structure, or early chapters of their book. You do not need a completed manuscript to apply.
What if I already finished my manuscript?
If your manuscript is already complete, developmental editing may be a better fit than coaching. You can still apply, and I’ll review your application to determine which service makes the most sense.
What if I’m not sure whether I need coaching or editing?
That’s exactly what the strategy session is designed to help determine. After reviewing your application, we’ll discuss where you are in the process and whether coaching, developmental editing, or another resource is the best next step.
What if I write fiction?
At this time, I only offer coaching for nonfiction books. If you’re a fiction writer looking for help with your book marketing or self-publishing strategy, you may be a better fit for a consultation.
