With over 3,000,000 views on YouTube, Stefanie Newell is the go-to writing coach for aspiring writers. Prior to YouTube, however, Stefanie is known for her debut novel The Buzz: When Celebrity Gossip Goes Wrong.

The Buzz has been described as a humorous yet introspective look at the entertainment industry and its allure. The idea for The Buzz came while Newell was freelance writing for Unrated Magazine where she interviewed celebrities such as Drew Sidora (Real Housewives of Atlanta), K-Ci and Jo-Jo (Jodeci), and actor Brian White (Ambitions). After observing the entertainment industry over the years, Stefanie put pen to paper and brought to life the gossiping Internet diva Ebony Jenkins.

Sample of Press Coverage

“Breakout author Stefanie Newell serves up The Buzz on a hot platter for all who love gossip, Internet forums, and spicy storylines. Newell’s novel is an interesting, thrilling, humorous experience that will have readers loving the story and hating the hell out of the main protagonist. The perfect anti-hero, Ebony’s a refreshing break from the normal sweet character. Her persona reeks of the all too familiar stank, hate-filled online personalities seen on many well-known gossip sites. This book is a definite must-read for anyone who loves or hates the gossip circuit.” – J’Adore Magazine

“Stefanie Newell fully understands America’s growing obsession with celebrity chat. As the author of the novel, The Buzz: When Celebrity Gossip Goes Wrong, Newell delves into our fascination with the stars. The book revolves around the fictional story of Ebony, a successful black woman whose pursuit of the high life wreaks havoc.” – Rolling Out Magazine

“The Buzz” is a very enjoyable book. The plot grabs you, and then the interaction between the characters draws you in. The author gives us the background of each character in detail. This helps you understand each character’s personality and why they behave the way they do. This is what makes the book outstanding. “The Buzz” is a must-read. Solid debut.” – OOSA Online Book Club
