This video will give writers on the traditional publishing path three tips on querying a book publisher or a literary agent. Whether you are looking to get signed to a publishing company or for an agent to represent you, learn how to make your manuscript stand out from all the others!

Traditional Publishing Path Tips

Tip #1  – Look at the publishing company’s submission guidelines to ensure that you are querying an agent or publisher who handles your genre. This will also give you an idea of how they would like the manuscript submitted. Try to stick as closely to the submission guidelines as possible.

Tip #2 – Refrain from sending out mass emails to publishers and agents. Send separate emails to each publishing company or agent you are querying.

Tip #3 – Submit your manuscript when you have a final draft that is free of typos and grammatical errors.  Make sure you submit your best effort!
